Idlers' Rest Beach Hotel, located in Black River, St. Elizabeth, is a boutique hotel that opened its doors in January 2007.  Easily accessible, it sits approximately 45 miles from Montego Bay, 52 miles from Negril, and 101 miles from Kingston.  Transfers to and from the Montego Bay's Sangster International Airport may be arranged at a nominal cost. Owned and managed by an attorney-at-law, Idler’s Rest attracts visitors from around the globe.

Idlers' Rest is a place to recharge...to think and to reconnect with oneself in this peaceful part of Jamaica's South Coast.  For visitors looking for the quieter side of Jamaica, the hotel's understated elegance serves as the only reminder that convenience and luxury have not been sacrificed.

The long days can be spent lying on the secluded beach, or strolling the almost 4 miles of meandering beach and inlets.  An option, of course, is to travel up the river to view the crocodiles in their natural habitat, or watch the undulating motion of the dolphins early each evening.
